Great video content doesn’t happen by accident—it starts with a solid script. Why?
Even if you possess the gift of the gab and are great at delivering off the cuff speeches, in my experience this often changes when you are suddenly in front of a camera. If you already decided to invest into video content, why not make the most of it?
Creating a script will help you to define your message, ensuring that your content stays on track and resonates with your audience.
It doesn’t mean that you have to write every word, learn it by rote and deliver it ad verbatim. Its purpose is to serve as a blueprint. It will guide you to hit all the key points and deliver it using your unique tone and voice.
Going into a shoot day with a plan in place will ease the process. It will help to avoid unnecessary takes and edits, making the production smoother and more efficient. Something you will appreciate regardless if you are working with a professional or choosing the DIY approach.
Scripting will leave room for creativity while keeping the overall vision intact. Crafting your message in advance will lead to polished videos, enhancing your credibility and brand image. But remember! Keep it concise. No need to write page-long answers for each question/topic, especially if your aim is only a short video. It will likely just get you frustrated on the day, trying to get all that out for it to be cut from the finished product anyway.

So why not save yourself (and/or your crew and editor) from unnecessary strain. Prepare a loose script to guide you, ensuring that your video delivers the desired message with the clarity and focus it deserves.
